Here’s a new feature for Music Addict. I love covers, and I will share an interesting one every week on Thursday. Hope you’ll all like it!
To start off, here is a cover of Mötley Crüe’s Wild Side, originally from their Girls, Girls, Girls album, done by country singer Gretchen Wilson. Gretchen’s version comes from the recent country tribute to Mötley Crüe, Nashville Outlaws.
What I like about her version is the rage she puts into her singing, that goes well with the song’s lyrical content. (The original is a pretty good performance from Vince Neil though) And I miss Tommy Lee’s drumming, from when he cared about being in a rock band. Also the production made his drums sound like they were 10 feet tall!
