Louder Still Goes Full Speed Ahead On Pedal To The Metal Debut Single

If our band’s name is “Louder Still”, expectations are in place before the listener even hits play. “Speed Machine”, the debut single from the UK rockers, channels your best memories of early New Wave of British Heavy Metal and packages them in a tight driving rocking number that sounds awesome driving down the highway, but would probably get you a speeding ticket. Expectations are definitely met by this talented quartet.

Surprisingly produced by Lonely Robot’s John Mitchell, the track couldn’t be further away from his own material. But he captured the essence of the band perfectly using 40-year-old Marshall amps and guitars to reproduce that organic feel so many records had back then. It kind of hurts to read the press release mention “vintage” forty-year old instruments when you’re yourself on that side of the fourth decade, but I digress.

I’m hoping there’s an album coming up, because “Louder Still” could be even more fun than Airbourne, and that’s saying something.
