The Music Addict’s Verdict | VIOLOg plays a chaotic blend of grunge and punk that rocks! |
How was the VIOLOg formed? Our common friend connected between us and we started to Jam and then it became something more than just jamming’ together.
What’s your songwriting process like? Shimon Writes a song with lyrics and guitars and then he plays for Adam and Adam says if it’s good enough or not. Then we play together and invent the drums. Then we go and record in a studio.
What are your influences?Rage Against the Machine, Enter Shikari, Foo Fighters, 90’s rock and alternative, Nu metal influence. NIN, Skinny Puppy. Our songs and guitars have an original sound and not like any other band.
How would you describe your music? There’s always something to wait for in a song. You can feel the accumulating energy during the songs and the performance.
What’s the one thing that makes you/your band stand out from the rest? The mix of grunge+punk+electro is not so common. The fact that we are only two and we sound like a full band speaks for itself.
Describe your live show? We are always looking for a total chaos. Mostly we succeed to achieve it. We don’t like pogo, but we like when people jump at our concerts.
What are your touring plans for the next few months? We are arranging a local performances in Tel Aviv next month. Follow on Facebook to see.
