The Music Addict’s Verdict | Catchy hard rock with metal undertones. At times, they sound like a more mature Mötley Crüe. Yes, that’s a good thing. |
How was the band formed?
We started back in 2011 rehearsing once a week on borrowed instruments – we were childhood friends who had a break from the music scene due to family and kid. We came from different bands, such as Saturnus, Pitch Black and Morbid Vision, meaning we mostly played trash and death metal. But after a few years break we were eager to start a band together – and in the rock genre instead.
There are only two members left from the starting period, Thomas Trold and Kent KillerHertz. The two new spots are now filled in with Jonas Roxx on lead guitar and Jakob Nielsen on bass.
What’s your songwriting process like?
The whole process is mostly done by Thomas Trold (who) has an idea and we´ll then start adding some drums to it and see how that works. Afterwards would be adding all other instruments and everybody gives their opinion of the process.
What are your influences?
There´s a ton of bands and artists, but mostly classic artists from the 70´s, 80´s and 90´s, such as Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Mercyful Fate etc. – and the era of that time has had a significant influence on all of us. Some of the best albums were made in that period.
How would you describe your music?
It’s hard rock music that has a lot of energy, with catchy choruses and tight beats. As Rock Lifestyle described us: “The KillerHertz is like Volbeat had a baby with Megadeth”.
What’s the one thing that makes you/your band stand out from the rest?
We give away free stuff at our shows, like cd´s and other merch!
What’s your latest release?
We are producing music videos at the moment – with four video releases within a month and a half of each other, which means releases in January, March, May and June this year. At the same time, we will release an EP album on the 29th of May.
