Looking for some sweet new music? Here are a few titles that caught my ear this week.
Brett Young – Brett Young
I’ve been in a country/southern rock mood lately; I guess winter has that effect on me. Brett Young’s self titled record caught my ear. It leans heavily on pop, but still scratches any easy going country itch I might have.
Katy Perry – Chained to the Rhythm (single)
Katy Perry’s new single is a slick pop dance track featuring Skip Marley (one of Bob’s sons). It’s less bubblegum than some of her past material, which isn’t necessarily bad.
David Arnold & Michael Price – Sherlock (Season 4)
The soundtrack to the latest season of the cult adapation of Sherlock Holmes is out, offering separate releases for each of the season’s 3 episodes, and a single release of all three. I’ve loved the mood of this show and the soundtracks are really interesting.
