How was the band formed?
First Marco and Michele met in the backstage of a gig…then Mattia joined…it just happened and immediately we felt great playing together. All happened quite naturally…when we had a good bunch of songs we decided to release it and we found Sonarkollektiv Berlin that was interested so here we are!
What’s your songwriting process like?
Jamming and jamming…yeah we like playing live in a stream of consciousnes, then we reach the point where we need some order so we start thinking about structures and arrangements.
What are your influences?
Everything! From Stevie Wonder to Radiohead, from Jazz to Italian Music to Metal…some classic too…we are open minded and very curious; we look forward to new sounds, but sometimes we find them in older stuff! This is music…always a surprise!
How would you describe your music?
It is basically pop music. We like to think it is Lucifour M music only! But honestly only others could say that. There is a huge part of R&B probably, but it is not a rule. In our most recent records you can find also some country music I think, and a lot of psychedelic sounds as well.
What’s the one thing that makes you/your band stand out from the rest?
Freedom! We are free to do whatever we like. Even our labels Sonarkollektiv Berlin and K7 Records London let us do what we like, which is a good thing. We are very open and upfront…immediate I would say, and not overproduced. It all comes from the live sound.
What’s your latest release?
Our latest is called DUE…it is the second chapter of our first project…we just split it in two parts to let the song breathe more…nowadays all is fast and furious so we thought that a split in time would have been a good idea to let people understand us more….
What are your touring plans for the next few months?
Italy, Europe and UK, Corona Virus permitting! Stay tuned.
